CAA Evidence Readiness Scan · $2,500 · invoiced

Know exactly how your reported EPR weights were built.

Within five business days after cleared payment and complete inputs, PackClose reproduces sampled state totals from components, source documents, calculations, and sales data. You receive the workpaper, a clear evidence-gap map, and the prioritized actions that make validation responses and internal handoffs faster.

This optional Scan is a one-time, fixed-scope engagement, invoiced under an engagement letter and paid 100% upfront (due upon receipt). Payment is not collected on this page. Delivery is within five business days after the later of cleared payment and complete inputs.

Prefer to maintain the records yourself? Start the PackClose Workspace with sample data; own-data access is $0 for 14 days, then $249/month unless cancelled.

One workpaper, three immediate payoffs

Reproduce sampled reported totals for finance, answer CAA validation questions from linked evidence, and hand the next reporting cycle to a new owner without rebuilding the model. CAA’s current policy may review methods, categories, brands, calculations, and supporting records; it also keeps producer-requested Adjustments distinct from CAA-issued Corrections. The scan turns that policy into a practical source-and-calculation map your team can use.

Scope — fixed on purpose

One tightly-scoped engagement, so the price can be fixed and the delivery date real.

  • One legal entity.
  • One CY2025 product family.
  • Up to 20 packaging configurations or 75 components.
  • Up to two of California, Colorado, and Oregon.
  • One sales export.
  • Current report exports or submission receipts.
  • Up to five packaging/specification sources.
  • Delivery within five business days after the later of cleared payment and complete inputs.

More entities, families, states, or sources than this? We will confirm the right scope before an agreement or invoice. Book the fit check.

What you receive

Component-to-source traceability sample

A sampled set of reported weights traced component-by-component to the packaging/specification source behind each number.

Reproduction of sampled state totals

We independently recompute sampled state totals from your components, weights, and sales export — and show where our arithmetic does and does not land on what was reported.

Evidence-gap map

Every sampled value classified as source-supported, estimated, missing support, or different between sources, with the next action attached.

Methodology and calculation-lineage findings

How the reported figures appear to have been produced — allocation basis, units, rounding — and where the lineage cannot be reconstructed.

Validation / Adjustment / Correction readiness actions

A prioritized action list keyed to the CAA lanes: what to complete first, what supports a validation response, and what belongs in a consolidated Adjustment request.

QA-checked XLSX workpaper

The scan's working file — the sample, recomputations, and classifications in one place, checked against our documented internal QA checklist by the engagement lead before delivery.

45-minute findings readout

A working session on the findings and the action list, with the people who own the data.

Clear scope, clean handoff

The scan stays focused on evidence and reproducibility, so the five-day delivery is real.

  • No producer-status or exemption decisions — those are your calls, with your reviewer or counsel.
  • No legal conclusions and no legal advice.
  • No filing and no portal submission — exports are yours to submit.
  • No fee-savings guarantees — we do not quote, optimize, or promise anything about fees.
  • No full-portfolio remediation — the scan samples; remediation is a separate, scoped engagement.
  • No unlimited human supplier follow-up — supplier chasing beyond the scan's sources is out of scope.

PackClose does not determine producer status, provide legal advice, submit filings, guarantee compliance, or promise fee savings — on this engagement or any other.

How it runs

STEP 1

20-minute fit check

States, entities, configurations, and what was filed. We confirm the smallest useful scope and exact input list.

STEP 2

Engagement letter + input list

Fixed $2,500 fee, invoiced on acceptance and paid 100% upfront, due upon receipt; the five-day clock starts once payment clears and inputs are complete. You get a one-page input checklist. Confidentiality and data-handling terms (including a DPA) are part of the engagement paperwork.

STEP 3

The scan

Five business days after the later of cleared payment and complete inputs. Questions land in one consolidated thread, not a drip.

STEP 4

45-minute findings readout

Findings, gap map, and the readiness action list — with the workpaper in your hands before the call.

Engagement inputs are handled under the signed engagement terms — see Security & Trust for the current control state, stated honestly. The public demo and in-browser tools run on synthetic data only.

See a specimen before you buy

This is what substantiation looks like when it is real work: a workpaper and a substantiation pack from our synthetic demonstration company, Golden Hour Beauty Co. Every identity, number, and document in both files is synthetic — no customer data, no real supplier names, no real outcomes. The structure is exactly what the scan's deliverables follow.

Labeled synthetic in the files themselves. No customer, reviewer, certification, or outcome is implied.

Request the scan, or book the fit check

Tell us your states, entities, product family, and roughly how many packaging configurations are in play — and whether you want the scan or a 20-minute fit check first. A person replies from info@packclosehq.com; no newsletter, no sequence. Prefer a calendar slot? Book the 20-minute fit check.

Prefer email? info@packclosehq.com reaches the same person. Please keep confidential details out of a first message — how we handle what you send is in the privacy policy. Payment is never collected here: engagements are invoiced after qualification and an accepted engagement agreement, and the fee is paid in full upfront — work begins once payment has cleared.
